  • Crossjack cottage is a 3 storey townhouse located in the centre of Cowes, close to local independent shops, bars, restaurants and marinas.

    Crossjack cottage sleeps 8 adults/children over the age of 6.  Is suitable for couples, families, crew, business, groups of friends or multi-generational families

  • Sleeps 8 adults - 4 bedrooms:

    1 bedroom - king sized bed and ensuite bathroom.

    1 bunk room - sleeps 2 adults in bunk beds.

    1 bedroom - king sized bed.

    1 bedroom - 2 single beds.

  • 1 ensuite bathroom - shower, WC, sink.

    1 bathroom - bath with shower, WC sink.

    1 bathroom - with shower, WC and sink

  • Suitable for couples, multi-generational families, groups of friends, crew accommodation for visiting sailors . Ideal base to explore the Island.

  • The beach is a short walk from the accommodation with a lovely esplanade leading to Gurnard.

  • There is no off street parking at this accomodation.  On street parking may be available, however this is a popular street for residents parking and visitors to Cowes.  Car park nearby, and a 1 hour parking area a short distance from the house (next to the pub) for loading/unloading/dropping off

  • Crossjack cottage is situated on a residential street in the heart of Cowes.

    Mobility - 3 storey accomodation.  Entrance to the house up 2 steps, paved area.

    Keyless entry using keypad.

    Potential hazards - from the street with 2 steps up to the front door from the pavement (paved front garden); 2 steps up to the kitchen/diner area.  Entrance to the patio area (decking) is through the french doors, with steps leading up to the patio decking.  A further step leads up to the dining table and chairs (seats 8).  Stairs lead up to the first floor bedrooms and bathrooms, and second floor bedrooms.

    Wheelchair friendly? - No unfortunately this property is not suitable for wheelchair users (steps/stairs up to and within the property/garden/patio area).

  • Sailcottages has committed to move towards sustainable tourism and the reduction of single use plastics from our cleaning, washing and toiletries products we provide for our guests.

    We currently provide ocean friendly cleaning products; compostable cloths and scourers; ethical toiletries containing essential oils - British made with vegan, cruelty-free and biodegradable ingredients, refillable to reduce plastic waste; and compostable dog poop bags.  

    We also provide biodegradable plant based tea bags and sugar sachets, and your used coffee capsules are recycled. 

  • The twin bedroom is fitted with a fire alarm that provides assistance for the hard of hearing this uses a flashing strobe light and vibrating pad in addition to the normal audible alarms, allowing people with hearing impairments to be alerted to an emergency situation
